Steph helps introduces athletes of all ages and sizes to triathlons
and duathlons in a non-intimidating, fun and educational way. Personal
training clients who are training for a triathlon or duathlon are invited to join Steph's Google online group, TRI it now
- DU it now! to coordinate workouts with others. Email Steph for more info.
Steph offers the following group or private clinics:
Swim Clinics Learn to swim faster and breathe
slower. Lengthen your stroke, slow it down - and get to your destination quicker with more efficiency. Unlearn wasteful struggling
skills by learning new drills. Learn the difference between speed and power. Learn to move effortlessly through the water. Follow
specific drills geared toward your own stroke technique, or "style," and voila! - see vast improvements from
session to session.
Rates are $35 for a 30-minute pool session and $45 for an openwater session (learn
many of the skills you need to swim successfully - and calmly - in open water. We'll go over starts, exits, drafting, turning, and
sighting skills).
Steph also offers a one-on-one swim package, which includes video analysis, two pool sessions
and an openwater session for $190.
Brick
Workouts The brick sessions are the perfect way to do multiple repeats of bike-to-run-to-bike, or swim-to-bike-to-run
in a group setting. Practice getting faster with your transitions. These are among the most popular clinics - everyone pushes
each other and you train your muscles to get used to "Jello leg syndrome" you feel when switching from sport to
sport.
Cycling Clinics Cycling clinics will cover everything
from proper cornering skills to drafting to paceline skills to hill training to shifting issues to dealing with clipless pedals
to circular pedaling and more.
Running
Clinics Running clinics cover
everything from speed training to weight training for runners to timed-based intervals vs. distance-based intervals to lactate
threshold to injury prevention/treatment and more.
Mini
Triathlons Want to shave time off your finish? Learning how to transition will make a huge difference in your
race. Few athletes practice or know how to practice this oft-overlooked element of triathlon racing. C'mon out and learn how
to set up your transition area, along with some tricks of the trade of the swim-to-bike and bike-to-run transitions,
or, of you already know them, have a blast in a group setting, getting a triple workout in as you get cheered on.
Special Clinics From
Flat Tire Repair to Sports Nutrition, have a craving? Email Steph Here's
what some of Steph's tri clients are saying: "I just wanted to say that when we swam today, I took your advice, and I did so much better!
I was able to swim much more then before!! (My husband) said he thought he was able to swim more, too." "Today I ran 16 minutes without stopping! I
feel awesome!!! I am so pleased. It was about a year ago that I started running, and I had to run like 1 min 30
sec and then break for 1 min and I would be soooo out of breath for that. I feel like I've made so much progress.
I think that the tri training has helped, more then the running only."
