Prefer one-on-one structured lessons? Need scheduling flexibility? Want
to truly know your swim instructor?
Steph, a mom of two, is CPR Certified, Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
Certified, and a former competitive swimmer, who, simply put, loves swimming. So just what is WSI? Well,
there really is much more to teaching swimming than tossing the child in the pool and telling her to "make big arms."
As a WSI, Steph underwent 40 hours of classroom and in-the-pool training, including stroke skills tests in SIX strokes
and a written test based on a 222-page instructor's manual.

Parents can learn basic water safety skills and proper holding techniques to adjust
their infant/child in the pool in an environment that encourages social interaction and fun! The infants/children learn
water entry/exit and develop swimming skills such as blowing bubbles, water submersion, holding onto the wall, kicking and
floating. Water submersion is taught with "cueing" - cue words learned in combination with water trickles over the
head so the child has a learned response to holding the breath before taking the first plunge. With "bunny hops,"
"swishing," "whirlpools," and songs, this class is fun, fun, fun!! This a great way to bond
with your child! For older children, this can provide a unique tool for overcoming fears.
* A 50 percent
deposit is required to reserve your spot for any lesson package (or payment for first lesson if you are
paying as you go).
